Cream:

1 Lb. softened butter (~ 4 sticks)

3 cups sugar

Beat In: 6 eggs

Add: 2 cups all-purpose flour

Mix In:

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons extract

  • For a regular pound cake use Vanilla, but feel free to experiment with lemon, rum, coffee and other extracts.

Sift In:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

Beat Well

Pour batter into a WELL GREASED AND FLOURED 10” bundt pan 

Bake @ 350 for approximately 60 minutes

 

Tips:

After removing cake from oven, place a plate over the exposed side of pan and flip over. Leave the pan ON the cake for 15-20 minutes so the cake will hold its shape before removing pan carefully.
